The LBJCB Drummer Reunion will be held on August 24th, 2019 from 7:00am to 6:00pm in El Dorado Park at the Sycamore Grove, Area 3.  This year we are inviting former musicians to come and enjoy the fun as well, and bring your instruments!  Music, in PDF format, is available for you to downoad and print your own copies.  Don't forget to dust off your instrument and practice a little! Downloadable musical parts are on the alumni page!  Check the band's Facebook page, more information will be announced soon!

Our Mission Statement

The objects of the LONG BEACH JUNIOR CONCERT BAND shall be to organize and maintain a youth musical band to provide musical education and instruction for children between the ages of thirteen (13) and twenty-one (21) years, both inclusive; to teach, train and instruct the said children in the various types, fields and branches of music so that the said children may join together for their mutual enjoyment and to display their musical ability and talent for the entertainment of the general public, and to foster an appreciation of good music and harmony among all people.

The Long Beach Jr. Concert Band was an organization that supported local youth ages 13 thru 21.  For 64 years, "Character Building through Music" had been the band's creed.  The organization instilled the importance of hard work, integrity, work ethic, teamwork and discipline necessary to be a Championship Winning Youth Band.
 

LBJCB at Huntington Beach 2006 The Long Beach Junior Concert Band celebrated sixty-four years of "Character Building Through Music".  Explore our website and history to see how the band to entertained the people of Long Beach and other cities across California.  When you find how much fun we had you will want to celebrate our legacy.  We also would like to invite our alumni to let us know what has happened since you left the band, you can e-mail us here at hq@lbjcb.org.

LBJCB at Huntington Beach 2006 The Long Beach Junior Concert Band is a non-profit youth organization open to dedicated individuals ages 12 through 21.  LBJCB was always accepting applications for wind musicians (i.e.: trumpets, trombones, sousaphones, saxophones, clarinets, flutes, piccolos, frenchhorns, etc.), drummers, specialty flags, dancers, and auxiliary marching units.  LBJCB performed throughout the year at parades (competitive and non-competitive with some televised), numerous local shows, civic and holiday events.  LBJCB also has been the featured band in the last 50 consecutive Hollywood Christmas Parades, making more appearances than any other band in the world!

Regular rehearsals used to be held on Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the LBJCB's rehearsal hall.  For more information check out schedule and information pages.
