The band has several fund raisers coming up in the month of March to raise money for the Las Vegas trip in
April. The Panda Express at corner of Spring St. & Woodruff Ave. will donate to the band 20% of the
value of all food purchases made on March 19th when presenting this special coupon (download here) with the purchase. Simply
print out the coupon give it to the cashier when you pay for your food, and please thank them for
supporting LBJCB.
The band's Alumni is sponsoring a Perchanga Resort & Casino turnaround on Saturday March 31st, 2012.
The proceeds will be donated to the band. For more information go the Alumni page

The band is hosting a Band-Cake Breakfast on Saturday April 7th to raise funds for our trip
to Las Vegas and Henderson on April 20th. Tickets will be available at the door or from any band member.
So come hungry and ready to support the band!
Our Mission Statement
The objects of the LONG BEACH JUNIOR CONCERT BAND shall be to organize and maintain a youth
musical band to provide musical education and instruction for children between the ages of thirteen (13)
and twenty-one (21) years, both inclusive; to teach, train and instruct the said children in the various
types, fields and branches of music so that the said children may join together for their mutual enjoyment
and to display their musical ability and talent for the entertainment of the general public, and to foster
an appreciation of good music and harmony among all people.
The Long Beach Jr. Concert Band is an organization that supports local youth ages 13 thru 21. For the past
60 years, "Character Building through Music" has been the band's creed. The organization instills the
importance of hard work, integrity, work ethic, teamwork and discipline necessary to be a Championship
Winning Youth Band.
This year the Long Beach Junior Concert Band celebrates fifty-eight years of "Character
Building Through Music". Come on down and join us as we continue to entertain the
people of Long Beach and other cities across California. When you find how much fun you can
have, you will want to join us as we celebrate our next 50 years. We also would like
to invite our alumni to let us know what has happened since you left the band, you can e-mail us

Youth Band pass you by... as the Long Beach Junior Concert Band prepares for another fun-filled,
exciting summer schedule of events. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!!! You can learn how
to play an instrument, specialty flags, auxiliary, solo majorette, featured dancers, or syncopated
percussion. The LBJCB staff will assist you with all of the required training which will
enhance your musical skills and marching ability.
The Long Beach Junior Concert Band is a non-profit youth organization open to dedicated
individuals ages 12 through 21. LBJCB is always accepting applications for wind musicians
(i.e.: trumpets, trombones, sousaphones, saxophones, clarinets, flutes, piccolos, frenchhorns,
etc.), drummers, specialty flags, dancers, and auxiliary marching units. LBJCB performs
throughout the year at parades (competitive and non-competitive with some televised), numerous
local shows, civic and holiday events. LBJCB also has been the featured band in the last 50
consecutive Hollywood Christmas Parades, making more appearances than any other band in the world!
Regular rehearsals are now held on Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the LBJCB's
